The visualisations on this website have all been produced using Python code in a Jupyter Notebook. This environment makes it easy to bring together the various software elements we need. The data comes from the copy of the Sound and Vision archive used for the Media Suite application, developed in the Clariah project. Data is retrieved using the Lab Search API, developed inhouse at Sound and Vision. The visualisations are created with Plotly, MatPlotLib and WordCloud (words are selected for the cloud using the NLTK toolkit). At present, the visualisations cover the archive up to June 2018.
